Personality: Kurai, unlike her cousin Shikamaru, is very hard-working and always gives her all in missions and at her part-time job. She is often very serious and is also a genius like her cousin.

Bio: Kurai is the distant cousin of the lazy genius, Shikamaru Nara. Her mother and father left the Leaf when she was 6. They settled in the Sand where Kurai was not happy. It took her a while to find a spot in the Academy so she graduated late. On her 15th birthday, the day after she graduated as Genin, she left for the leaf. Not having much time for friends or things like that, she didn't even stick around to be assigned to a squad. Her father was abusive, and her mother was never home. She was always gambling and wasting the little money the family had. This only contributed to her leaving the village. She lives on her own like Naruto now, away from the rest of the Nara clan. She promised that when she was back to her old self that she would return to them.
